Alice (Vaios) Mavrogeorge, 75, of Manchester, died Dec. 11, 1996, at a Manchester hospital after a brief illness.
She was born in Woonsocket, R.I., the daughter of Arthur and Mary (Nacos) Vaios, and had been a resident of Manchester for 68 years.
Along with her husband, she owned and operated the A&A Cleaners on Hanover Street.
She was a member of St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral.
Family members include her huisband of 50 years, Arion "Ace" Mavrogeorge of Manchester; a daughter, Mrs James (Marcia) Harrington of Hooksett; two sons, Alex Mavrogeorge of Manchester and Gary Mavrogeorge of Auburn; four grandchildren; two sisters, Tina Avgis of Cotuit, Mass., and Ellen Adams of Manchester; a brother, George Vaios of Manchester; nephews and nieces.
Services: Calling hours at McHugh Funeral Home, 483 Beach St., corner of Hanover Street, are Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
The Trisagion service will be at 7:30 p.m.
The funeral is Saturday from the funeral home at 9:15 a.m. The funeral service will be conducted in St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral at 10 a.m., by the Rev. Peter Chamberas, dean of the cathedral.
Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery.
