     Helen was born at Chicago, Cook, Illinois, on 25 August 1904. She was the daughter of Edwin Llwellyn Norris and Edna Grace Williams. She married Everett Lewis on 20 October 1935.² She married Arthur Ellsworth Larson at Oshkosh, WI, on 15 August 1938. Helen died on 21 October 1988 at Palo Alto, Santa Clara, California. Her body was interred on 25 October 1988 at At Sea at cremated with ashes scattered.
     Helen's occupation: Kindergarten School Teacher In O. In an unknown date Helen Whitmore Norris was a member of Christian Scientist. Her married name was Schmidt. As of 20 October 1935,her married name was Lewis. As of 15 August 1938,her married name was Larson. Place of birth on birth certificate given as 591 West Congress Street, Chicago, Ill. Was an excellent piano player. Taught at the Milwaukee School of the Blind.

     She married Daniel R. Norris in February 1884.²

     Johannes was born at Helligso, Thisted, Denmark, on 2 August 1862. He married Mette Kirstine Sogaard at Chicago, Cook, Illinois, on 9 January 1894.¹ Johannes died on 11 April 1942 at Ripon, Racine Co., WI.¹ His body was interred at Union Grove, Racine Co., WI, at Union Grove Cemetery.¹
     Johannes's occupation: Carpenter. Emigrated to America via Halifax, Canada in 1891. Appears on Danish Emigration records as leaving Ydby, Thisted on 23 Feb 1891. Thence to Ishpeming, Mich and from there to Union Grove, Monrose, and to Chicago, Ill in 1893.

Records show he filed intention to become a US citizen at Cook County, Ill. on 11 Jan. 1894. His certificate of citizenship was issued by the State of Wisconsin in the Racine Circuit Court on 18 Sept 1906.

Met Mine while working on the Chicago Worlds Fair. One version is that they met at a Baptist tent revival meeting, thus they became Baptists although their children went back to Lutheran church. Owned 110 Acre Farm In Paris Township, Kenosha Co., Wisc after renting a couple of farms from the Drinkwaters who encouraged them to come to Union Grove in 1895/96 after the work ran out in Chicago. Worked for Irvin Cornell and Otto Lynklit at various times. He had lost the vision in one eye and hearing in one ear due to an accident.

He read from a Danish Bible before dinner. Once said to grandchildren:

     Mette was born at Skyum, Thisted, Denmark, on 8 February 1870. She married Johannes Mortensen Larson at Chicago, Cook, Illinois, on 9 January 1894.² Mette died on 24 July 1956 at Union Grove, Racine Co., WI.² Her body was interred at Union Grove, Racine Co., WI, at Union Grove Cemetery.
     As of 9 January 1894,her married name was Larson. I recall visiting her at the Elizabeth Theresa Home in Racine WI where she spent her last days. I recall that she had broken her hip. She always tried to give Mother money to get us candy at a nearby store.

     Edwin was born at Elkhorn, Walworth Co., WI, on 8 July 1880. He was the son of Harley Cornelius Norris and Alice Whitmore Allen. He married Edna Grace Williams at Beaver Dam, Dodge Co., WI, on 8 August 1903. Edwin died on 12 January 1948 at Greenfield, Milwaukee Co., WI. His body was interred on 14 January 1948 at Forest Home, Milwaukee, at (cremated).
     Edwin's occupation: Ordering clerk,Standard Oil Co.. Lived at 1516 Hadly in Milwaukee, Wis. in 1920. Occupation was Ordering Clerk for Standard Oil. Age was 39. In 1948 Lived at 1519 South 94th St., Greenfield, Milwaukee Co., Wisc. (becoming West Allis, Wisc.). Cause of death-carcinoma of lung.

     Edna was born at Fox Lake, Dodge, WI, on 12 December 1882. She was the daughter of Timothy Forbes Williams and Lucy Juliette Rushlow. She married Edwin Llwellyn Norris at Beaver Dam, Dodge Co., WI, on 8 August 1903. Edna died on 14 November 1967 at Wauwatosa, Milwaukee Co., WI. Her body was interred on 16 November 1967 at Brookfield, WI, at Wisconsin Memorial Park, (cremated).
     As of 8 August 1903,her married name was Norris. According to William and Judy Slater: a search in June 1998 for a corner house based on a photo postcard led us to take pictures of a house on the corner of Mill & Vida, 1 block from a large park. Wendy is going to see if she attended the large academy located near there in Beaver Dam. She lived across the street from Helen Larson's family at 1519 South 94th street in West Allis(Milwaukee), Wisc. She loved music and made certain that all her children had excellent training in a musical instrument. Died from a heart attack. She was a Christian Scientist.

     Harley was born at Sugar Creek Twnshp, Walworth Co., WI, on 11 February 1855. He was the son of John Ash Norris and Julia Marie Richardson. He married Alice Whitmore Allen at Elkhorn, Walworth Co., WI, on 10 June 1879. Harley died on 25 February 1937 at Elkhorn, Walworth Co., WI. His body was interred on 27 February 1937 at Elkhorn, Walworth Co., WI.
     He was a Member of County Board for Village. 1892 in Beckworth he was elected President village board of trustees. 1897 in Beckworth he was elected Mayor - 1 yr term. 1902 in Beckworth he was elected 2nd term Mayor - 2 yr term. 1904 in Beckworth he retired from hardware business. 1904-1908 in Beckworth he was Secty., Walworth Co Agricultural Society. 1908 in Beckworth he was City Clerk (4 yrs). 1908 in Beckworth he was elected County Treasurer, Republican Party. Beckworth Member: Masons, Knight Templar. Beckworth Member: Modern Woodmen. Died from a stroke.

     Alice was born at East Troy, Walworth Co., WI, on 22 February 1855. She was the daughter of Lucius Allen and Juliette Barnes. She married Harley Cornelius Norris at Elkhorn, Walworth Co., WI, on 10 June 1879. Alice died on 6 May 1935 at Elkhorn, Walworth Co., WI.
     As of 10 June 1879,her married name was Norris. Her address at time of death was N. Washington Street. On 23 April 1935 she was struck by a bicycle on a sidewalk and recieved a hip fracture.

Bruce writes that she was a 5th cousin of John Brown who was the one the song 'John Browns body lies a'mouldering in his grave' was written about. She always said he was her favorite cousin.

     Lucius was born at Walworth Co., WI, on 10 February 1890. He was the son of Harley Cornelius Norris and Alice Whitmore Allen.

     Timothy was born at Burnett, Dodge Co., WI, on 4 May 1848.¹ He married Lucy Juliette Rushlow at Beaver Dam, Dodge Co., WI, on 25 October 1871.¹ Timothy died on 4 March 1925 at Fox Lake, Dodge, WI.¹
     Timothy's occupation: Grain Dealer. He was a grain dealer.

The 1880 census in St Ansgar Township, Mitchell, Iowa, shows a baby girl 11 months old in June named Edith.

According to 1900 census, 13 children were born of whom 12 are living.

In the 1910 Dodge County Directory there is a listing for the Williams Elevator on Mills Street (between S. Center and S. Spring). It is no longer standing (1998) but is the site of a Kraft Cheese factory. Across a river bridge and around the corner is the house which the directory lists as his home, 122 4th Street. In the 1912 Directory, T.F. is listed at 604 S. Spring and a George Williams is listed at 314 W. 4th.

     Lucy was born at Burlington, Chittenden, VT, on 10 October 1853.¹ She married Timothy Forbes Williams at Beaver Dam, Dodge Co., WI, on 25 October 1871.¹ Lucy died on 7 March 1916 at Beaver Dam, Dodge Co., WI.¹
     As of 25 October 1871,her married name was Williams.

     John was born at Wisbech, Cambridgeshire, England, on 1 March 1818. He was the son of John Norris and Melinda Hurn. He was baptized at Wisbech, Cambridgeshire, England, on 17 March 1818. Religion: St. Peters. He married Julia Marie Richardson at Summit Co., Ohio, on 6 May 1845. He married Sarah Elizabeth Hickson at Walworth Co., WI, on 9 October 1878. John died on 8 March 1890 at Elkhorn, Walworth Co., WI.¹
     John's occupation: A farmer in Walworth Co & owned. From Beckwiths History of Walworth County, Wisconsin (1912)pg 1085:

John A. Norris was a native of England. His father was accidentally killed when he was a child. He was raised by his grandparents (doesn't say paternal or maternal). When 7 years old, brought to America (doesn't say by whom). Grew to manhood in Ohio where he married Julia M. Richardson. Julia was a native of Connecticut who accompanied her parents to Ravenna, Portage County, where she lived until her marriage. The couple "entered land from the govenment" in Sugar Creek township and lived there until 1868. Then they moved to Elkhorn, he was in the hardware business until he died in 1890.

Born in England and came to America when 15 years old and made his home in Cayuga County,New York for a short time and then moved to Summit Co., Ohio.

He married in Ohio in 1846 to Julia M. Richardson, daughter of Daniel Richardson. He came to Walworth Co in 1847 where he farmed for 20 years. He moved to Elkhorn in 1867 and began the business in 1868.

Land records show that in 1845 he bought bought the E1/2 of NW1/4 of Section 25 Township 3N Range 16E from Reubin Smith. I have a copy of this Deed and Tract Map. In 2 Oct 1855 he sold a "right of way" through this property to the Wis Cen RR Co. In 1867 he bought Lots 10 & 11 in blk 44 of the Davis Addition in the Village of Elkhorn. At his death he owned lots 1 thru 6 in this Addition.

His obituary states that he came to this country when he was 14 years of age, settling at Ravenna, (Portage Co.) Ohio.

     Julia was born at Barkhamstead, Hartford, CT, on 21 December 1823. She was the daughter of Daniel Richardson and Susan (Suky) Mills. She married John Ash Norris at Summit Co., Ohio, on 6 May 1845. Julia died on 17 June 1874.²
     As of 6 May 1845,her married name was Norris. Lived in Ravenna, Ohio, until her marriage.

     Lucius was born at Hamburg, Erie Co., New York, on 13 February 1816. He married Mary A. Spoor at Auburn, Geauga Co., Ohio, on 27 May 1837. He married Sarah Ann Barnes at Auburn, Geauga Co., Ohio, on 5 August 1841. He married Juliette Barnes at Auburn, Geauga Co., Ohio, on 10 November 1848.¹ He married Hephsibah Tomlinson at Elkhorn, Walworth Co., WI, on 4 September 1890. Lucius died on 12 January 1895 at Elkhorn, Walworth Co., WI. His body was interred at Hazel Ridge, Elkhorn, WI.
     He was a student. School:. Lucius's occupation: Member Of Wisc. Legislature In 1. Was an apprentice of the carpenter and joiners trade in Hamburg, New York. Went to Geauga Co., Ohio in 1836. Came from there to Section 31, East Troy, Walworth Co., WI 28 Oct 1838. 120 acres were purchased at the land sale of Feb 1839 (later sold in 1870). Built 1st frame store there in 1841. Afterward bought on Section 6 in Spring Prarie. Came about 1870 to Elkhorn as a building contractor and furniture dealer. Member of county board in 1863, 1868, and 1877.

Land records show he obtained W1/2 of SW fractional 1/4 in Section 31 Township 4N Range 18E in 1839.

     Juliette was born at Danby, Pawlet, VT, on 20 April 1818.^1,2,3 She married Lucius Allen at Auburn, Geauga Co., Ohio, on 10 November 1848.³ Juliette died on 11 March 1878 at Elkhorn, Walworth Co., WI. Her body was interred at Elkhorn, Walworth Co., WI.
     As of 10 November 1848,her married name was Allen. Have note that they were married 10 Nov 1848 in Chardo, Geauga Co., Ohio.

     Daniel was born at Barkhamstead, Hartford, CT, circa 1774.^1,2 He was the son of Stephen Richardson and Sarah Treat. He married Susan (Suky) Mills at Barkhamstead, Hartford, CT, circa 1808.^1,2 Daniel died circa 1857 at Twinsbury, Summit, Ohio.^1,2
     Daniel's occupation: Farmer. In 1830 and 1840 he lived in Burton Township, Geauga County, Ohio. In 1850 he lived on a farm in Twinsburgh Township, Summit county, Ohio. Value of his real estate in 1850 was $3000. His three sons, Daniel W., Edwin T., and William, lived next to him.

According to "Amos Richardson of Boston and Stonington" by Roselle Richardson, he settled in Twinsburg about 1834.

     Jean was born at Mineral Point, WI, on 17 July 1913. She was the daughter of Edwin Llwellyn Norris and Edna Grace Williams.
     Her married name was Windau. Jeanne was very gifted as a violin player. She recieved a scholarship to study in Germany. When she was a housewife, she was the leader of the 2nd violins in the Milwaukee symphony.

     Ruth was born at Beloit, Rock Co., WI, on 25 March 1910. She was the daughter of Edwin Llwellyn Norris and Edna Grace Williams.
     Her married name was Kletzein. Ruth was a school teacher and a practitioner in the Church of Christ, Scienties. She played the flute and piano and taught piano.²

     Harley was born at Milwaukee, WI, on 2 June 1917. He was the son of Edwin Llwellyn Norris and Edna Grace Williams. Harley Brewster Norris died in 2007.²
     Harley Brewster Norris also went by the name of Bruce Norris. He worked at Los Alamos as a physicist. He was so gifted as a singer that he had to decide as a young man between a career as a singer or a scientist. He was a Christian Scientist. He lived briefly in South Africa and for many years in Arizona.²

     John was born at Mineral Point, WI, on 13 October 1921.² He was the son of Edwin Llwellyn Norris and Edna Grace Williams. He married Myra Mae Mcmillan at La Crosse, WI, on 21 December 1947. John was divorced from Myra Mae Mcmillan 1970's.³
     John was a student and a musician, a trumpet player and cellist, growing up in Shorewood, WI. He was an all-state musician (also attended Interlochen) and was renowned as a basketball and fast-pitch softball player and later in golf, tennis, and bowling. He graduated in 1946 with a B.A. Engineering from the Univeristy of Wisconsin at Madison. He servied in the U.S. Navy on several ships, in the Pacific in WW II, finishing rank Lieutenant J.G. He saw service in the battles of Guadalcanal and Iwo Jima. He went on to a career in Nuclear engineering and sales, much of it for the Babcock & Wilcox Co., based in Ohio. Was regional sales manager for the Intermountain West out of Salt Lake City, in the early 1960's, dealing in power plants and boiler systems, including nuclear systems. Worked early in his carerr for the Blatz and Pabst Brewing Companies in Milwaukee. Also worked for Bituminous Coal in Minneapolis and Denver and Ebasco Services, the latter taking him to New York, where he worked for more than a dozen years in the south tower of the World Trade Center into the late 1980's.⁴

     Susan was born at Barkhamstead, Hartford, CT, circa 1778.^1,2 She was the daughter of Lt. Gideon Mills and Ruth Humphrey. She married Daniel Richardson at Barkhamstead, Hartford, CT, circa 1808.^1,2
     As of circa 1808,her married name was Richardson.

     John was born circa 1849.¹ He was the son of John Ash Norris and Julia Marie Richardson. John died on 13 December 1887 at San Francisco, California.²

     William was born on 20 July 1851.¹ He was the son of John Ash Norris and Julia Marie Richardson. William died on 20 May 1897 at Mendota.¹

     Daniel R. Norris was the son of John Ash Norris and Julia Marie Richardson. He married Harriet J. Alford in February 1884.²

     Elizabeth Norris was the daughter of John Ash Norris and Julia Marie Richardson. She married George B. Spoor on 22 June 1880.²
     As of 22 June 1880,her married name was Spoor. Nickname Libbie.

     Edwin was born at Barkhamstead, Hartford, CT, on 30 June 1809.² He was the son of Daniel Richardson and Susan (Suky) Mills. He married Caroline Carter.
     In the 1880 U.S. Federal Census for Ravenna, Portage Co., Ohio he is listed as a banker.

     William was born at Barkhamstead, Hartford, CT, on 22 February 1811. He was the son of Daniel Richardson and Susan (Suky) Mills. He married (?) (?).
     He was a merchant.

     Daniel was born at Barkhamstead, Hartford, CT, on 1 May 1822. He was the son of Daniel Richardson and Susan (Suky) Mills. He married Lydia Earl in 1846. Daniel died in 1868 at Bloomington, Mclean, Illinois.
     Daniel's occupation: Farmer. In the 1850 Census for Twinsburgh, Summit Co., Ohio, he is living next to his father, farming land worth $3275. With him is his wife Lydia from Ohio, a daughter Martha A., and a son Charles D.

     Caroline was born at Conn in 1819.² She married Edwin Treat Richardson.
     Her married name was Richardson. In the 1850 US Census, Lydia Carter, age 70, is living with the family. Based on this William and Judy Slager speculate that his wife's maiden name is Carter.

     John was born at Ohio in 1839. He was the son of Edwin Treat Richardson and Caroline Carter.

     Daniel was born at Ohio in 1843. He was the son of Edwin Treat Richardson and Caroline Carter.
