Given.¹ Elsie Mae Phillips married Herbert Charles Stanton, son of Giles Stanton and Lydia Jane White, in October 1903 at Upper Darby, Delaware Co., PA. They were married at Burn Brae, the sanitarium her grandfather opened. (Perhaps at the family home?).¹ Elsie Mae Phillips died on 2 November 1955.¹
     Elsie Mae Phillips was also known as Maule Phillips.¹ As of October 1903,her married name was Stanton.¹

     Dr. Willoughby Phillips was born circa 1847..¹ He married Jane P. Given, daughter of Dr. Robert A. Given.¹ Dr. Willoughby Phillips died on 19 September 1900.¹

     Jane P. Given was the daughter of Dr. Robert A. Given.¹ Jane P. Given married Dr. Willoughby Phillips.¹ Jane P. Given died on 23 August 1934.¹
     Her married name was Phillips.¹

     Dr. Robert A. Given was born circa 1814 at Ireland..¹ He died in 1888.¹
     Ng the hospital grounds to about 55 acres. He also built a 12 bedroom house adjacent to the hospital in which the proprietors of the hospital would live with their family.

The Burn Brae property was kept in the same family and people who married into it from 1859 until 2002. In the late 1940s/early 1950s, the Stanton/McCoy family swold mose of their 53 acre estate to real estate development ocmpanbies. they were left with approximately 7 acres where the hospital,k family house, and a barn were located. The hospital lot was sold in 1972 and arond that time the hospital was demolished. Mary Pauline Stanton and her husband John Owen McCoy lived in the house until they died in 1991 and 1996 respectively. In 1998, the estates of Mary and John were willed to their children Owen S. McCoy and son-in-law William B. Bankhead and his children Tallulah and Mary. I (Brendan O'Riordan) soeculates that Delinda McCoy Bankhead may have been deceased by 1998 since she does not appear on real estate records for this property. The house of Burn Brae proprietors which housed generations of Given/Phillips/Stanton/McCoy family was sold out of the family in 2002 and demolished between 2007 and 2008. The only remnant of the Burn Brae property is a pile of rubble which was the house, some trees which surrounded the house, and a stone block entrance gatepost which stands on Oak Avenue in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania.¹

     Mildred Phillips was the daughter of Dr. Willoughby Phillips and Jane P. Given.¹ Mildred Phillips died on 5 April 1904.¹

     Herbert C. Stanton Jr. was born circa 1911..¹ He was the son of Herbert Charles Stanton and Elsie Mae Phillips.¹ Herbert C. Stanton Jr. died in November 1957.¹
     Herbert C. Stanton Jr. was also known as Carter.¹ At the time of his father's death (1938) Herbert was living at Burn Brae.

Herbert was survived only by his siblings. Most likely he never married. He was a treasurer of some sort for Delaware County, PA for about ten years until his death.¹

     Mary Pauline Stanton was born..¹ She was the daughter of Herbert Charles Stanton and Elsie Mae Phillips.¹ Mary Pauline Stanton married John Owen McCoy between 1941 and 1942.¹ Mary Pauline Stanton died on 11 March 1991.¹
     Mary Pauline Stanton was also known as Polly Stanton.¹ At the time of her father's death (1938) she was living at Burn Brae.¹ As of between 1941 and 1942,her married name was McCoy.¹

     John Owen McCoy married Mary Pauline Stanton, daughter of Herbert Charles Stanton and Elsie Mae Phillips, between 1941 and 1942.¹ John Owen McCoy died on 19 November 1996.¹

     Owen McCoy was the son of John Owen McCoy and Mary Pauline Stanton.¹ Owen McCoy died in 1996. He was survived by five grandchildren when he died.¹

     John Decker was born in 1839 at Carbondale, PA..¹ He married Mary A. (?) mid 1850s.¹ John Decker married Annie Kane (?) circa 1886. She was the widow of [?] Norton, died 27 May 1883.¹ John Decker died between 1910 and 1920.¹
     In 1870 John and Mary were living in Meadville, Crawford Co., PA. John was a laborer, probably working for the railroad. He had five children: Ella born about 1857 NY, Seymore born about 1858 NY, John Willard Decker born about 1862 in PA, Susanna born about 1865 and Louisa born about 1869 in PA. By 1880 the family still consisted of the parents and their five children. In 1880 John had become a railroad yard master and Seymore a railroad switchman. By 1900 John was a day laborer and his daughter Annabella by Annie was a servant.¹

     Mary A. (?) was born circa 1836 at NJ..¹ She married John Decker mid 1850s.¹ Mary A. (?) died on 10 May 1885.¹
     As of mid 1850s,her married name was Decker.¹

     Annie Kane (?) was born in 1860..¹ She married John Decker circa 1886. She was the widow of [?] Norton, died 27 May 1883.¹ Annie Kane (?) died before 1909.¹
     She had come by ship to America in 1879 or 1880. By June 10, 1880 she was working in Scranton as a servant for the C.F. and Sarah Wilcox family.¹ As of circa 1886,her married name was Decker.¹
