He sailed with the 4th Marine Division from San Diego, Calif. Jan 13, 1944. He participated in their operations at the Marshall Islands, Roi, Namu, Feb. 11, 1944. then back to Maui, T.H. and established a rest camp. Again sailing west they were at Saipan July 9, and Trinian July 25, 1944. Their next trip ws to Iwo Jima where they landed Feb. 19, 1945, ut it required nearly a month to capture and island of 8 square miles. His division then returned to the Maui Rest Camp, and remained there until the end of the war. He was honorably discharged Nov. 27, 1945. Was graduated from Rochester Technical Institute June, 1948, where he studied Photographic Technology. In Oct. 1948 we entered the employ of the Eastman Kodak Co. as photographer in their Industrial studio. He is active in Church and Scouting.
