She was proud that she could trace her family back to Lord Byrain of Stanton Castile.

     A census listed John as head of household at Naples, Ontario Co., NY, in 1850.¹ A census listed John as head of household at Naples, Ontario Co., NY, in 1860.¹ A census listed John as head of household at Italy, Yates Co., NY, in 1880.¹ A census listed John as head of household at Naples, Ontario Co., NY, in 1887.¹ According to Kathleen McLaughlin (kmclaugh@wcnet.org) he was a dairy farmer. Lived in Herkimer Co., said to have moved to Belfast, Allegeny Co., NY and by 1836 was in Naples, Ontario Co., NY after having traded farms with Justus Neeley.

     She married Daniel Stanton. Margaret died on 31 May 1863 at Belfast, Allegany Co., Ny.
