     Daniel was born at MA on 14 December 1794. He was the son of Abel Stanton and Olive Reede. He married Lydia Wheeler in 1817. He married Almira Johnson on 14 April 1820. Daniel died on 5 September 1855 at Owego, Ny.
     Daniel Stanton was also known as Daniel Stanton. He resided at Oswego, Ny, before 1845. He resided at Syracuse, Onondaga, NY, in 1845. Roger Keagle obtained the following from the "Historical Gazetteer and Directory of Tioga Co., NY 1887", page 376: Daniel Stanton, born December 14, 1794, came from Norwich, Mass., and located in the town of Nichols in 1830, and in 1836 moved onto the farm now occupied by his son Asa. He married Almira Johnson April 14, 1820, by whom he had eight children, viz: Maria, who died March 14, 1849, Asa, born August 15, 1822, Elizabeth, widow of Oliver P. Chaffee, Lucinda, widow of Hiram Shays, of Owego, Clarissa, wife of A. J. Stanton, and Levi, of Bradford County, Pa., Jonas who drowned September 4, 1852, and Almira, wife of David Smead of Owego.

She married Ephraim Ayers at Franklin, Franklin Co., VT, on 21 March 1809, by an unknown person .1 Lovica died on 25 January 1859 The location is probable. at Middlesex Co, Canada West (now Ontario), Canada.1 Her body was interred at Westminster Township, Middlesex Co., Canada West (Ontario), at Trinity Anglican Cemetery.1
     As of 21 March 1809,her married name was Ayers.
