Thomas was born at Towchester, Northants, England, in 1585. He was the son of Richard Lord and (?) (?). Dr. Thomas Lord married Dorothy Bird, daughter of Robert Bird and Amy (?), on 23 February 1610/11.1 Dr. Thomas Lord and Dorothy Bird obtained a marriage license on 20 February 1610/11 at Petersborough, England.1 Thomas died after 29 January 1643 at Hartford, Connecticut.
He emigrated, on 13 April 1635. Point of origin:.2 He was one of the original proprietors and settlers of Hartford, Conn. They lived on the north side of the highway on the bank of the Little River (now Wells Street). His sons Richard and Thomas had lots next to his.

Lawson was born at Hornby, Steuben Co., NY, on 25 March 1840. He was the son of John Tracy Stanton and Salina (Saliny, Selene) Vossler. He married Melissa (Lizzie) Ann Van Hoesen at Hornby, Steuben Co., NY, on 12 October 1871. Lawson died on 31 May 1914 of debilityIt should be noted that his tombstone says he died 1 June 1914 but in his Civil War pension file are several sworn statements including one from the attending physician that the death was actually 31 May 1914 and the death record was corrected.
The cause of death on the death certificate was general debility and nephritis, contributory paillomato of the bladder. at the home of Hattie Rea at Turin, Monona Co., IA. His funeral was held at Methodist Church at Turin, Monona Co., IA, in 1914. His body was interred at Castana, Monona Co., Iowa.
Lawson served in the military. Lawson served in the military at New York in 1860. Lawson's occupation: tax collector in 1875. In in 1879, he was at Hornby, Steuben Co., NY, and moved to Monona Co., IAThey lived in Monona Co. until their move to Florida.. In in September 1912, he was at Oakdale, Antelope Co., NE, and moved to Lynn Haven, FLThey moved to "the old soldiers's colony" and were active in the Lynn Haven First Methodist Church, 905 Pennsylvania Avenue, Lynn Haven, Florida.. In on 10 April 1914, he was at Lynn Haven, FL, and moved to for health reasonsTurin, Monona Co., IAThey resided in Turin but 2 months and 7 days before Lawson died.. He was a farmer.

Fred was born at Hornby Forks, NY, on 4 June 1879. The Stanton genealogy authored by William Stanton states that Fred's birth was 12 June. This is also the date recorded in Fred's family Bible. The death certificate says 4 June 1879.. He was the son of Lawson Jay Stanton and Melissa (Lizzie) Ann Van Hoesen. He married Genia Fay Maxwell on 4 June 1902. Fred died on 13 October 1945 at Blencoe, IA.

He resided at Oakdale, NE, in 1952. In 1911 he was in Oakdale, Nebraska engaged in carpentry. In 1913, after his marriage, the family lived on a farm near Oakdale for a number of years. In 1930 he was employed by the Nebraska State Highway Patrol for about ten years. 1945-48 he was employed in Norfolk, 1948-58 in Oakdale. In September of 1957 he and his wife went to Florida for his health. They returned to Nebraska in May 1958 and he was hospitalized in Tilden May 7th.
He served as a County Supervisor for one term, a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge, was active in the Boy Scouts, a member of the Methodist Church and served it as Teasurer and member of the Board of Trustees.
