     Helena Calista Stanton was born on 16 August 1851 at Hamlin Town, McKean, PA.. She was the daughter of Abel Morse Stanton and Sarah Scott. She married Andrew J. Sprague in 1870. The Stanton book says "in the winter of 1869-70".. Helena Calista Stanton died in October 1883 at Spring Grove, VA.

     He fought in the War of 1812 and then removed to Walworth County, Wisconsin. His wife's tombstone says she was the wife of Col. John C. Stanton.¹

     Nehemiah was born at CT in 1792.¹ He was the son of John Stanton and Mary (Polly) Palmer. He married Almira Barnes. Nehemiah died on 13 December 1856 at Jackson, Jackson Co., MI.¹ He was buried at Mt. Evergreen Cemetery, Jackson, MI.¹
     Nehemiah Palmer Stanton was also known as N. P. Stanton.¹ Nehemiah Palmer Stanton was also known as Nehemiah P. Stanton.¹ He was born in Connecticut and lived in New York until the 1830's. He and his family, including his father, moved to Jackson county, Michigan and opened Stanton & Tiffany's Exhcnage (an inn, store, and tavern). He was local politician and judge. His activiities are well documented in the history of Jackson County.¹

     Joseph was born at Onandaga Co., NY, on 16 December 1794.¹ He was the son of John Stanton and Mary (Polly) Palmer. He married Clarissa Griffin at PA in 1817.¹ Joseph Stanton died on 17 February 1854 at La Harpe, Hancock Co., IL.¹
     He resided at Albany, NY.¹ He lived at Ohio. Where they had several children.¹ He resided at La Harpe, Hancock Co., IL.¹

     Hiram was born circa 1799. He was the son of John Stanton and Mary (Polly) Palmer.

     Mary was born at Onondaga Co., NY, on 8 August 1798.¹ She was the daughter of John Stanton and Mary (Polly) Palmer. She married Julius Herman Mason.¹ Mary Palmer Stanton died on 10 September 1870 at Mukwonago, WI.¹ She was buried at Greenwood Cemetery, Walworth Co., WI.¹
     Mary Palmer Stanton was also known as Polly Stanton.¹ Her married name was Mason.

     Hannah was born at Onondago Co., NY, circa 1801.¹ She was the daughter of John Stanton and Mary (Polly) Palmer. She married Allen Rice.¹ Hannah Stanton died on 19 September 1881 at WI. She is buried in Evergreen/Quarterline cemetery next to her husband. Also buried adjacent if Albert Hibbard the husband of hannah's daughter Mary A. Rice.
     Her married name was Rice.

     He married Hannah Stanton.¹ Allen Rice died on 24 October 1875.¹ He was buried at Evergreen Quarterline Cemetry.¹

     He married Mary Palmer Stanton.¹ Julius Herman Mason died in 1896 at Mukwanago, WI.¹ He was buried at Greenwood Cemetery, Walworth Co., MI.¹
     Julius and Mary had seven children and then removed to Walworth Co., Wisconsin. Numerous books and historical sources in Wisconsin have documented Julius Mason as an early pioneer, and biographies include information about Mary.¹

     She married Joseph Stanton at PA in 1817.¹ Clarissa Griffin died in 1881 at Colusa Co., CA.¹
     Her married name was Stanton. She lived at Colusa Co., CA. After Joseph Stanton's death his widow and family removed to California wher etwo of his sons became well-respected lawmen.¹
