12. John3 Stanton Jr (Capt John2, Thomas1) was born in Stonington, New London Co., Connecticut 22 May 1665. John died Jul 1755 in Preston, Conn.

He married Mary Starkweather. Mary was born 1689. She was the daughter of John Starkweather and Ann Starkweather. Mary died 1727. He made a will 13 Feb 1747. The following individuals are also linked to this event: Jabez Stanton (executor); Mary Starkweather (executor). The William Stanton genealogy of the Stanton family indicates that Mary Starkweather and her son Jabez Stanton were the executors of John Stanton Jr.'s will probated 8 July 1755. However, Mary Starkweather died in 1727.

  • 22 v. Robert Stanton was born 20 Feb 1714. Robert died 1800. He married Mary Lester 1741.

  • 23 vi. Huldah Stanton was born 3 Jun 1716.

  • 24 vii. Jabez Stanton was born 19 Dec 1718. Jabez died 2 Mar 1804 in Preston, Conn. He married Sarah Morss 9 Sep 1745.

  • 25 viii. David Stanton was born 22 Oct 1720.

  • 26 ix. Mary Stanton was born 11 Sep 1722.

  • 27 x. Sarah Stanton was born 20 Jan 1724.

  • 28 xi. Samuel Stanton was born in Preston, Conn. 20 Jun 1726. Samuel died Mar 1803 in Preston, Conn. He married Mary Palmer 1 Nov 1754.
