He was baptized 29 January 1738. Religion:. In connection with this baptism the record says "All that bring children to baptism (not being in full communion with the church) constantly own covenant, and if they have visibly transgressed do make a public confession." Nearly four years later, 4 Oct. 1741, Bridget was admitted to full communion. The evidence here would go to show that Bridget was an unmarried mother.
