He married Clarissa Alvira Stanton Norwich, Conn, 25 December 1842. Clarissa was born Belchertown, Mass 13 Apr 1820. Clarissa was the daughter of Randall Stanton and Clarissa Spicer. Clarissa died 17 Apr 1880 Montville, Conn.

He resided Middletown, Conn 1891.

William Henry Palmer and Clarissa Alvira Stanton had the following children:

+ 3 ii. John Gideon Palmer was born 14 October 1845.

4 iii. Clarissa Maria Palmer was born Montville, Conn 28 October 1847. Clarissa died 5 June 1882 Providence, Ri. She married Byron H. Arnold Montville, Conn, 25 November 1868. He resided Providence, Ri 1891. (See Byron H. Arnold for the continuation of this line.)

5 iv. Marian Eliza Palmer was born Montville, Conn 6 December 1849. She married Revile C. Markham Providence, R.i., 27 December 1875. He resided Middletown, Conn 1891.

6 v. Charles Stanton Palmer was born Waterford, Conn 19 October 1852. Charles died 19 June 1862 Montville, Conn.
