Martha Carpenter2 Morss was born in Preston, Conn 15 October 1764. Martha died 8 May 1830 in Port Allegany, McKean Co.,m Penn, at age 65. She married Samuel Stanton 3 December 1786 in Preston, Conn. Samuel was born 17 Apr 1759 in Preston, Conn. He was the son of Samuel Stanton and Mary Palmer. Samuel died 15 April 1816 in Bellefonte, Center Co., Penn, at age unknown. (See Samuel Stanton for the continuation of this line.) William Stanton gives her name as Morss and Morse.
