2 i. Martha Carpenter² Morss was born in Preston, New London, CT 15 October 1764. Martha died 8 May 1830 in Port Allegany, McKean Co., PA. She married Samuel Stanton in Preston, New London, CT, 3 December 1786. Samuel was born in Preston, New London, CT 17 Apr 1759. Samuel was the son of Samuel Stanton and Mary Palmer. Samuel died 15 April 1816 Bellefonte, Center Co., Penn. (See Samuel Stanton for the continuation of this line.) William Stanton gives her name as Morss and Morse.
