2 i. Ruth² Ayer was born Stonington, New London, CT. Ruth died Danville, Vt. She married Isaac Wheeler Stanton 19 September 1765. Isaac was born Stonington, New London, CT 14 Jan 1743. Isaac was the son of Joseph Stanton Jr. and Anna Wheeler. Isaac died 1829 Danville, Vt. Aged 86 years.

He resided in Preston, New London, CT before 1783. He resided Fairley, Vt after 1783. He resided Holderness, Nh after 1787. He resided Danville, Vt after March 1805. Moved there with his sons Erastus, John A., Joseph, and his daughter Ruth. The distance was 60 miles and was traveled in seven days. (See Isaac Wheeler Stanton for the continuation of this line.)
