2. Benjamin² Holmes (James¹) was born in Pomfret, Conn 11 November 1751.

He married Mary Cleveland. Mary was born in Brooklyn, Conn 1763. Mary was the daughter of Phineas Cleveland and Zeruiah Davis.

Benjamin Holmes and Mary Cleveland had the following child:

3 i. Mary³ Holmes was born ca 1788. Mary died 29 October 1834 near Zanesville, Washington twnship, Muskingum Co., OH. Her body was interred in Washington Township, Ohio, Lull or Vernon Cemetery. She married Leonard Lull CA 1810. Leonard was born 11 Oct 1792. Leonard was the son of Timothy Lull and Susanna Stanton. Leonard died in Ohio. His body was interred in Washington Township, Ohio, Lull or Venon Cemetery.
