He married Mary Effie Buntin. Mary was born in Brooklyn, Missouri 25 Oct 1877. Mary was the daughter of Ambrose Elliott Buntin and Elizabeth Doarel.

He resided in Smith Center, Smith Co.,Kansas. He was a painter.

Andrew Jackson Lentz and Mary Effie Buntin had the following children:

9 i. Eunice Barbara³ Lentz was born in Smith Center, Smith Co.,Kansas 3 Jan 1899. She married Ernst Hurner. Ernst was born in Woodburn, Platte Co., Nebraska 3 Aug 1893. Ernst was the son of Albert Hurner and Mary Imhoff. Ernst died 1971 in Monroe, Platte Co., Nebraska. (See Ernst Hurner for the continuation of this line.)

10 ii. Lola Mrytle Lentz was born in Smith Center, Smith Co.,Kansas 8 Aug 1900. Lola died 24 May 1972 in Columbus, Platte Co., Nebraska. Her body was interred in Columbus, Platte Co., Nebraska. She married Lee Ludwig Nauenburg. Lee was born in Arapahoe, Nebraska 25 Aug 1900. Lee was the son of Christian Nauenburg and Catherine Maria Yeiter. 11 iii. Cordy Lentz was born in Smith Center, Smith Co.,Kansas 1902. Cordy is deceased. Six weeks old.
