2. Zachariah² Jewell (George Washington¹) was born Est 1820-1854. Zachariah died Est 1904-1942.

He married twice. He married Mary Ruggles in Paris Twp., Edgar Co., IL, 6 Aug 1879.⁽³³⁰²⁾ Mary was born in Pontiac, Il 1860. Mary was the daughter of James Ruggles and Susan Aaron. Mary died Est 1906-1955. He married Rebecca A. Berkshire in Coshocton County, Oh, 2 Sep 1865.⁽³³⁰³⁾ Rebecca was born 1845. Rebecca was the daughter of Robert Berkshire and Mary Van Fossen. Rebecca died Est 1874-1939.

Zachariah Jewell and Mary Ruggles had the following children:

4 ii. Ada Jewell was born 25 Sep 1881. Ada died Est 1882-1975.

Zachariah Jewell and Rebecca A. Berkshire had the following children:

5 iii. Annie Jewell was born in Muskingum County, Oh 1866. Annie died Est 1883-1960. She married Charles Douglas 22 Nov 1879.⁽³³⁰⁴⁾ Charles was born in Vigo County, In 1859. Charles was the son of John Douglas and Locke Strickland. Charles died Est 1885-1950.

6 iv. George Jewell was born in Coshocton County, Oh 1867. George died Est 1899-1958. He married three times. He married Anna Melia Keith.⁽³³⁰⁵⁾ Anna was born 1862. Anna was the daughter of James Keith and Melvina Bolton. Anna died Est 1884-1956. He married Lucy Taylor in Edgar Co., IL, 27 Mar 1890.⁽³³⁰⁶⁾ Lucy was born in Boone County, Ky 1868. Lucy was the daughter of Morgan Taylor and Melinda Richardson. Lucy died Est 1896-1962. He married Katie Young in Edgar Co., IL, 21 Nov 1894.⁽³³⁰⁷⁾ Katie was born in Shelbyville, In 1871. Katie was the daughter of Jackson Young and Mary Ann Biggs. Katie died Est 1900-1965.

7 v. Minnie B. Jewell was born in Edgar Co., IL 1870. Minnie died Est 1913-1965. She married John Northrup 30 Jul 1887.⁽³³⁰⁸⁾ John was born in Edgar Co., IL 1868. John was the son of Andrew Northrup and Cynthia Trogdon. (See John Northrup for the continuation of this line.)
