1. John Wesley¹ Sherwood birth date unknown.

He married Emily Minier Berry in Ft. D.A. Russell, WY, 22 Jan 1914.⁽⁴⁰⁶²⁾ The marriages of Olive and Emily were notable because their father, who must ahve preferred line officers, had warned them away from "contract doctors". in that day, physicians were first contracted by the army for a probationary period, then given commissions if they were found to deserve them.

Emily was born in Ft. Monroe, VA 12 Apr 1891.⁽⁴⁰⁶³⁾ Emily was the daughter of Lucien Grant Berry and Emily Ross Minier. Emily died 30 Jun 1968 in Carmel, CA.⁽⁴⁰⁶⁴⁾ He was a colonel in the army medical corps, his specialty was interveining in troubled medical facilities.

John Wesley Sherwood and Emily Minier Berry had the following children:

Emily² Sherwood was born 13 Dec 1914.⁽⁴⁰⁶⁵⁾ Emily died 14 Oct 1983 in Fullerton, CA.⁽⁴⁰⁶⁶⁾ Her body was interred in Arlington, VA, Arlington National Cemetery.⁽⁴⁰⁶⁷⁾ She married Otto Hansen.⁽⁴⁰⁶⁸⁾ Otto was born 22 Aug 1907.⁽⁴⁰⁶⁹⁾ Otto served in the military during World War II.⁽⁴⁰⁷⁰⁾ He was attached to the USS California when she was sunk at Pearl Harbor, and then became a communications specialist in Washington. He was a captain during the war, was then returned to commander, and then repromoted.

Otto graduated in Annapolis, MD, 1930. Institution: U.S. Naval Academy.⁽⁴⁰⁷¹⁾ (See Otto Hansen for the continuation of this line.) She lived through the bombing of Pearl Harbor.
