He married Lucy Maud Berry 3 Sep 1919.⁽³⁰⁷⁸⁾ Lucy was born in West Point, NY 4 Dec 1894.⁽³⁰⁷⁹⁾ Lucy was the daughter of Lucien Grant Berry and Emily Ross Minier. Lucy died in Palo Alto, CA.⁽³⁰⁸⁰⁾ She resided in Palo Alto, CA 1945.⁽³⁰⁸¹⁾ A West Pointer and infantryman. He graduated from West Point in the same class as Eisenhower and remained a friend throughout his life. He retired as a major of infantry because of disability.
