1. Nathan Maynard¹ Burgess was born 22 Mar 1833.

He married Elizabeth Ann Castle 26 Nov 1857. Elizabeth was born 10 Aug 1826. Elizabeth was the daughter of Hastings Castle and Mary Noyes Champlin. Elizabeth died 13 Dec 1910.

Nathan Maynard Burgess and Elizabeth Ann Castle had the following children:

2 i. Helen A.² Burgess was born 3 Sep1858. Helen died 20 Feb 1860.

3 ii. Mary Belle Burgess was born 9 May 1864. Mary died 8 Nov 1950. She married Durrett Oliver Castle 12 Mar 1890. Durrett was born 19 Aug 1865. Durrett was the son of George Hastings Castle and Harriet Oliver. Durrett died 6 May 1954. (See Durrett Oliver Castle for the continuation of this line.)

4 iii. Claire Amelia Burgess was born 10 Apr 1860.

Nathan Maynard Burgess had the following child:

5 iv. George Seth Burgess was born 2 Sep 1850. George died 15 Nov 1926.
