         Hugh Ferry is the son of John Ferry and Bella McGee.1 Hugh Ferry immigrated on 8 August 1923 to New York, NY; We do not believe that our Hugh's brother John ever came to the U.S. He lived and died in Ireland. So it is possible this ship manifest entry is not for our Hugh Ferry.2 He was buried at St. Finian's Cemetery, Falcarragh, Donegal, IR; We are not certain whether he is buried here or the tombstone simply memorializes his death.1 He died on 26 February 1952 at Rockland State Hospital, Orangeburg, NY.1,3

             Patrick Ferry is the son of John Ferry and Bella McGee. Patrick Ferry died at Rockland State Hospital, Orangeburg, NY.1 Patrick and his brother Hugh owned a successful string of taverns in the U.S. and they made a ton of cash. Had bank accounts all over the country and sent a half million in cash back to Ireland. His brother John and his wife loaned out the money. One of the people obtaining a loan from them was Manny Ferry who used it to purchase several adjoining farms in Ireland.

        Both Patrick and Hugh became eccentric and unable to manage their affairs. They were committed to the State hospital and died there. Unmarried and without issue.1

Entry #22 on the same manifest is for Fanny Coyle, aged 22 years old, joining her sister Mrs. Keeney at 2403 Saybrook St. in Philadelphia.2
