First Generation

1. Andonios1 Paspalas birth date unknown.

He married Maria (Elena?) ??. He or his family may have been flour millers as "paspali" in Greek means fine flour. The family originated on Andros, immigrated to Lesvos and settled in Mytilene. After a serious earthquake in Mytilene, prior to the birth of his daughter Persephone's children, the family relocated to Loutra where they had a produce/variety store. (The earthquake was mentioned by two grandhcildren. Ref: Varkas-Polimou and Varkas-Samiou interviews.)

Andonios Paspalas and Maria (Elena?) ?? had the following children:

child 2 i. Achilles2 Paspalas. He was killed in Mytilene by an earthquake while still a young unmarried man. Rallou Kazazis said he was also known by the surname Kazazis.

child 3 ii. Stratiyoula Paspalas. She married Stavros Ahoulos. (See Stavros Ahoulos for the continuation of this line.) She married and had her children in Loutra. Little is known of her descendants.

child + 4 iii. Georgios Paspalas was born 1840.

child + 5 iv. Demetrios Andonios Paspalas was born 1851.
