4. Georgios² Paspalas (Andonios¹) was born 1840. Georgios died 1913.

He married Theodora Ouranis. Theodora was the daughter of Thiamanda ??. When a young man, he moved to Edremit, Turkey, via Istanbul. He was by trade a maker of clothing and fezes. He raised his own silkworms and make silk cording and binding. Eventually he became know as Georgios Kazazis and dropped the surname of Paspalas. It is not clear if the name originates from the word for the particular type of clothing and hat, the fringe on the costume, or from some form of the greek word for cotton fabric (Xases). He married in Edremit and raised his family there. Three of his children came to the U.S. and used the surname of Kazazis.

Georgios Paspalas and Theodora Ouranis had the following children:

6 i. Elena³ Kazazis. She married Socrates Kokounos. (See Socrates Kokounos for the continuation of this line.)

+ 7 ii. Achilles Kazazis.

8 iii. Olga Kazazis. She married an unknown person. Her husband was killed shortly after their wedding. She did not remarry.

9 iv. Androniki Kazazis. Androniki is deceased. Died at the age of 19.

10 v. Thrasivoulos Kazazis. Thrasivoulos died as a teenager. Died when he was 19 or 20 years old. Unmarried. Died 19 or 20 years old, unmarried.

11 vi. Rallou Kazazis was born November 22, 1897. The Social Security Death Index indicates the birth date was 22 December 1894. Rallou died September 1978. Her body was interred 1973 Forest Hills. She married George Fournaris November 18, 1918. George was born 1873. George was the son of ?? Foulnaris. George died July 1949.
