168. Henry⁹ Stanton (Joshua⁸, William⁷, Thomas⁶, Thomas⁵, Thomas⁴, Thomas³, John², Thomas¹) was born Stonington, Conn. 1756. Some of his grandchildren say 1768. Henry died 25 Oct 1819. One record says he died "aged 51" and another says "aged 60".

He married Martha Davis. Martha was born 1769.⁽⁴¹⁹⁸⁾ Martha died Dec 1844 Caton, Steuben Co., Ny.

He resided North Stonington, Conn.

Henry Stanton and Martha Davis had the following children:

341 i. Henry¹⁰ Stanton was born abt 1790. Henry died Michigan. He married twice. He married Widow Cook. He married Eleanor ??. He was a sailor. Died no issue.

+ 342 ii. Nathan Davis Stanton was born 3 May 1792.

+ 343 iii. Spicer Stanton.

+ 344 iv. Russell Stanton was born 20 Apr 1799.

345 v. Jebediah Stanton.

346 vi. Eunice Stanton. She married Amos Lewis. No issue as of 1891.

He resided Norwich, Ny.

+ 347 vii. W. Thomas Stanton.

348 viii. Lucy Stanton was born Stonington, New London, CT 2 Sep 1794.⁽⁴¹⁹⁹⁾ Lucy died 19 Dec 1875. She married Samuel Foster Berry Hopkinton, Ri, 13 April 1813. William Stanton indicates the location may be Westerly, RI.

Samuel was born Westerly, Ri 13 Dec 1787.⁽⁴²⁰⁰⁾ Stanton Garner indicates it may have been 1787 or 1788. Samuel was the son of Samuel Berry and Mollie Foster.

Samuel died 20 Feb 1864 Caton, Steuben Co., Ny. He resided New York State 1823 or later.⁽⁴²⁰¹⁾ He resided in Painted Post, NY by 1830.⁽⁴²⁰²⁾ He resided in Caton, NY 1850.⁽⁴²⁰³⁾ (See Samuel Foster Berry for the continuation of this line.)

+ 349 ix. John Stanton was born about 1796.

+ 350 x. Albert Stanton was born about 1800.

351 xi. Eliza Stanton was born North Stonington, Conn 22 February 1804. Eliza died 21 Jul 1856. She married Jared Barber North Stonington, Conn, 12 February 1825. Jared was born Westerly, Ri 19 September 1801. Jared was the son of Hosea Barber and Kate Lanphear. Jared died 20 Feb 1884. (See Jared Barber for the continuation of this line.)
