229. Jason⁹ Stanton (David⁸, John⁷, Capt John⁶, Thomas⁵, Thomas⁴, Thomas³, John², Thomas¹) was born in Preston, New London, CT 1761. Jason died 31 January 1843 in Clinton, Wayne Co., PA.

He married three times. He married Keziah Brumley. William Stanton gives her surname as both Brumley and Brumbley.

He married Sabra Olin July 1794. He married Sally Beckwith 29 June 1806. Sally was born in Preston, New London, CT. Sally died in Clinton, Wayne Co., PA. Served in the War of 1812.

Keziah Brumley¹⁰ Stanton was born in Preston, New London, CT 26 Jan 1791.⁽⁴²³⁵⁾ Keziah died 28 Jan 1865 in Clinton, Wayne Co., PA.⁽⁴²³⁶⁾ She married David Stanton West Canaan, Penn, 2 Feb 1812.⁽⁴²³⁷⁾ David was born in Vershire, VT 24 Aug 1787.⁽⁴²³⁸⁾ David was the son of Rev. Samuel West and Jerusha Stanton. David died 28 Jan 1868 in Waymart, Wayne Co., PA.⁽⁴²³⁹⁾ He was baptized New London, Conn, 6 Jul 1806. Religion:.⁽⁴²⁴⁰⁾ He resided in Canaan, PA Oct 1808.⁽⁴²⁴¹⁾ He left his home in New London and spent the fall and winter here, helping his uncle harvest his crops and build a saw mill. He taught school in the family. IN the spring he traveled to Phildelphia, then down the Susquehanna to Bloomsburg, Catawissa, and on the Reading Road to the Delaware River, thence across New Jersey to New York, and then back to New London.

He bought property in Cannan, PA, 25 Apr 1810.⁽⁴²⁴²⁾ 197 acres.

He resided in Canaan, PA early in 1810.⁽⁴²⁴³⁾ In 1794 he began making improvements on land two miles north of Col. Asa Stanton's but did not finish. In 1810 he cleared the forest and began building a house.

David was a Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church member in Cannan, PA, 1810.⁽⁴²⁴⁴⁾ David was elected in Cannan, PA, 1831 to 1835.⁽⁴²⁴⁵⁾ David was a Clinton Baptist Church member 10 Nov 1831.⁽⁴²⁴⁶⁾ (See David Stanton West for the continuation of this line.)

519 ii. Jonas Stanton was born 5 Nov 1794. Jonas died 1851. He married Eliza White.

520 iii. Tamson Stanton was born in Preston, New London, CT 26 Jul 1796. Tamson died 12 Feb 1851 in Cannaan, Wayne Co., PA. She married Jabez Welch Canaan, Penn, 22 Feb 1821. Jabez died 15 Apr 1871 in Canaan, Wayne Co., Pa. (See Jabez Welch for the continuation of this line.)

+ 521 iv. Henry Stanton was born 21 Jan 1798.

+ 522 v. Elisha Stanton was born 20 Nov 1799.

523 vi. Maria Stanton was born 24 Mar 1801. Maria died April 1891. Unmarried.

She resided in Clinton, Wayne Co., PA 1891.

527 x. Lucy Stanton was born 16 Jun 1815. Lucy died 14 July 1872. Unmarried.

528 xi. Elizabeth Jane Stanton was born in Clinton, Wayne Co., PA 13 Mar 1818. She married twice. She married Lyman Woodmansee in Clinton, Wayne Co., PA, 15 Dec 1842. Lyman was born in Buckingham, PA 7 Aug 1821. Lyman was the son of James Woodmansee and Polly Underwood. Lyman died 1 May 1865 in Buckingham, PA. (See Lyman Woodmansee for the continuation of this line.) She married Leonard Weed 3 Nov 1872. Leonard died 1882 in Buckingham, PA.

She resided in Forest City, PA 1891. In 1891 she had been a member of the Methodist Episcopal church for fifty years.
