1327. Robert Hartsell Earnest¹³ Stanton (Abel¹², Robert¹¹, Elijah¹⁰, Nathan⁹, Joseph⁸, John⁷, Capt John⁶, Thomas⁵, Thomas⁴, Thomas³, John², Thomas¹) was born in Cohocton, Ny 7 Jan 1868. Robert died 1939 in Cohocton, Ny.

He married Martha Alice (Mattie) Miller 1893. Martha died 1919. Was a pioneer in the frozen food business. Plant Manager for Bird's Eye frozen food. Played a good game of chess and bridge. Had an abiding interest in family genealogy.

Robert Hartsell Earnest Stanton and Martha Alice (Mattie) Miller had the following children:

1357 i. Effie May¹⁴ Stanton was born 27 Feb 1895. She married Delos Campbell. I can recall visiting Aunt Effie in North Cohocton. She lived at the foot of Lent Hill in a modest un-modern bungalow. It had kerosene lamps for light, and always smelled of cigar smoke because Delos smoked a lot. They had outdoor plumbing, and she grew gladiolas. I stayed with her when we moved down from Maine in 1946. She had pure white hair. I used to help them clean school desks in one room school house to earn money for school. DBS. She took in foster children....lots of them. Eddie was one.

+ 1358 ii. Robert Miller Stanton Sr. was born 29 Jun 1900.
