2. Robert² Berkshire (Anson¹) was born in Pa. 1820. Robert died 20 Jan 1873 in Cherry Point, Edgar County, Il.

He married Mary Van Fossen in Tuscarawas Co. Oh, 10 Oct 1844.⁽²⁵⁰⁴⁾ Mary was born in Ohio 1822. Mary died Est 1864-1917 in Unknown Co, Oh. She was christened in Polly.

Robert Berkshire and Mary Van Fossen had the following children:

3 i. Shadrick Castile³ Berkshire was born in Tuscarawas County, Oh 12 Aug 1852. Shadrick died 23 Mar 1936 in Newark, Licking County Oh. He married Allie Shirrard in Licking County, Oh, 1 Jun 1879.⁽²⁵⁰⁵⁾ Allie was born Est 1841-1863. Allie died Est 1884-1952.

4 ii. Rebecca A. Berkshire was born 1845. Rebecca died Est 1874-1939. She married Zachariah Jewell in Coshocton County, Oh, 2 Sep 1865.⁽²⁵⁰⁶⁾ Zachariah was born Est 1820-1854. Zachariah was the son of George Washington Jewell and Julia Ann Mills. Zachariah died Est 1904-1942. (See Zachariah Jewell for the continuation of this line.)

+ 5 iii. Joseph Berkshire was born 1848.

6 iv. Eliza Jane Berkshire was born in Fulton County, Illinois 12 Nov 1857. Eliza died 8 Feb 1938 in Douglas Twp, Clark County, Illinois. She married Martin Luther Rinesmith in Paris Twp., Edgar Co., IL, 10 Jul 1879.⁽²⁵⁰⁷⁾ Martin was born in Edgar Co., IL 8 Mar 1860. Martin⁽²⁵⁰⁸⁾ was the son of Jesse Rinesmith and Rebecca Ellen Cook. Martin died 1 Feb 1937 in Douglas Twp, Clark County, Illinois. (See Martin Luther Rinesmith for the continuation of this line.) Also known as Lyda.

8 vi. George L. Berkshire was born in Il Feb 1862. George died 8 Feb 1936 in Paris Twp., Edgar Co., IL.
