He married Emiline Faught in Hendricks County, In, 19 Aug 1830.⁽²⁷⁵⁰⁾ Emiline was born Est 1793-1816.⁽²⁷⁵¹⁾ Emiline died 1845 in Hendricks County, In.⁽²⁷⁵²⁾ She was christened in Vannice Cemetary, Marion Twp, Hendricks County, In, 1845.⁽²⁷⁵³⁾

Nathaniel Britton and Emiline Faught had the following children:

2 i. James L.² Britton was born in Putnam County, In 29 Nov 1833.⁽²⁷⁵⁴⁾ James died Est 1834-1923.⁽²⁷⁵⁵⁾

3 ii. Elizabeth Britton was born in Putnam County, In 2 Feb 1836.⁽²⁷⁵⁶⁾ Elizabeth died Est 1837-1930.⁽²⁷⁵⁷⁾

4 iii. Sarah Jane Britton was born in Winchester, Hendricks County, In 10 May 1837. Sarah died 1 Oct 1919 in Toledo, Cumberland, Il. She married Quincy Clay Tomlinson in Hendricks County, In, 2 Sep 1852.⁽²⁷⁵⁸⁾ Quincy was born in Clay Twp, Hendricks County, In 7 Dec 1833. Quincy was the son of William Tomlinson and Sarah Jane Phillips. Quincy died 20 Mar 1920 in Neoga Twp, Cumberland County, Il. (See Quincy Clay Tomlinson for the continuation of this line.)
