3. Joseph² Goodhue (William¹) was born in Ipswich, MA 1639.⁽³¹²⁸⁾

He married three times. He married Sarah Whipple 13 Jul 1661. Sarah was born 1641.⁽³¹²⁹⁾ He married Rachel Todd 15 Oct 1684.⁽³¹³⁰⁾ Rachel died 1691 in Ipswich, MA.⁽³¹³¹⁾ He married Mercy Boynton 4 Jul 1892.⁽³¹³²⁾ The widow Clark.

Mercy was born 5 Oct 1651.⁽³¹³³⁾

Joseph Goodhue and Sarah Whipple had the following children:

5 i. Susannah³ Goodhue. She married Moses Kimball 1696. Moses was born Boston, Suffolk Co., MA Sep 1672. Moses was the son of John Kimball and Mary Bradstreet. Moses died 23 Jan 1750.

6 ii. Sarah Goodhue. She married John Kimball in Watertown, Middlesex Co., Massachusetts, 2 Dec 1692. John was born Boston, Suffolk Co., MA 16 Mar 1668. John was the son of John Kimball and Mary Bradstreet. John died 4 May 1761 in Bethesda, MD. (See John Kimball for the continuation of this line.)

7 iii. Margery Goodhue. She married Thomas Knowlton.⁽³¹³⁴⁾

8 iv. Elizabeth Goodhue.

9 v. Joseph Goodhue was born 13 May 1662.⁽³¹³⁵⁾ He may have been unmarried. Died young.

10 vi. Mary Goodhue was born 1664.⁽³¹³⁶⁾

+ 11 vii. John Goodhue was born 1679.

12 viii. Hannah Goodhue was born 20 Jul 1681.⁽³¹³⁷⁾

+ 13 ix. William Goodhue was born 1682.

Joseph Goodhue and Rachel Todd had the following children:

+ 14 x. Ebenezer Goodhue was born 25 Jul 1685.

+ 15 xi. Joseph Goodhue was born 1687.

16 xii. Benjamin Goodhue was born 25 Jan 1690.⁽³¹³⁸⁾ Benjamin died 1697.⁽³¹³⁹⁾

Joseph Goodhue and Mercy Boynton had the following child:

+ 17 xiii. Samuel Goodhue was born 6 Apr 1696.
