He married Abigail Canfield in Norwalk, Ct, 1701. Abigail was born in Norwalk, Ct Apr 1673. Abigail was the daughter of Samuel Canfield and Elizabeth Merwin. "His estate was valued in 1687 at fifty pounds, having a present value of several thousand dollars, which proves him to have been a man of substance." Rufus Rockwell Wilson, 1947
