His descendant A. H. Davison of Des Moines Iowa researched the family. In 1876 he taught a term of school 4-5 miles north of Columbus, Nebraska on the prairie anda term at first station west of Columbus then called Jackson (Cherry Hill P.O.) which is now (1980) another name.
