You, like most Glenn County voters, care about your county/local government and its effectiveness. But sometimes it gets confusing as some votes are in open session, some in closed. Sometimes there seems to be background information not readily available to the public. Why is that?

This Brown Act Workshop will explain what the Brown Act is, what it says about making information available to the public, what government agencies can do in a closed session, what they cannot, and what a citizen is entitled to do if there might be a Brown Act violation.

We have scheduled California's pre-eminent expert on the Brown Act, Terry Francke of CalAware, for this 90 minute workshop with Q&A. Thanks to many Glenn County business sponsors this free workshop is open to all (though we do appreciate pre-registration). Bring all your questions because he has the answers.

It is your government and the first step in exercising your rights is to understand the Brown Act.  Come and join us. Listen, learn, leave informed! All you need to do is click on the link below to pre-register and RSVP.
