Georgios Plomaritis and Marietta Stersle had the following children:

child 12 ii. Irene Plomaritis was born January 5, 1896. Although Irene indicated she was born in 1896, her social security application completed in February 1941 indicated she was born in 1899. However, the application has at least three handwritings on it (she signed with an x) so she may not be the source of that information. Irene died June 1984. She married Georgios Demetrios Varkas July 4, 1920. Georgios was born in Loutra, Lesvos, Greece April 23, 1890.(318) The Social Security Death Index indicates he was born 23 April 1886. On his Social Security application he indicated he was born 23 April 1889. Georgios was the son of Demetrios Andonios Paspalas and Persephone (Karonia) Kledaras.

Georgios died October 6, 1966. Georgios immigrated, 17 Sep 1906. Destination: New York, NY.(319) He is listed on the ship manifest as Georges Paspalas, 28 years of age, male, single, laborer, able to read and write, Greek nationality, last residence Mitilini, final destination Manchester N.H., joining at 10 Spring Street in Manchester, NH his friend (?Thrasivoulos?) Kazazis.

(See Georgios Demetrios Varkas for the continuation of this line.) Her family was forced to leave Turkey. She remembered that there were two massacres. After the first one they were allowed to go back, but when the second one occurred (1912) they left permanently. They could only take personal belongings and she had to leave her goat.

She is first mentioned in the Manchester, NH City Directory in 1922. She is distantly related by marriage to her husband's mother. Persephone Kledaras had a sister Elena Kledaras, who married Stratis Plomaritis, the brother of Georgios Plomaritis. Then Persephone's son George Varkas married Elena's daughter Irene Plomaritis.
