[1865] I can recall visiting Aunt Effie in North Cohocton. She lived
at the foot of Lent Hill in a modest un-modern bungalow. It
had kerosene lamps for light, and always smelled of cigar smoke
because Delos smoked a lot. They had outdoor plumbing, and she
grew gladiolas. I stayed with her when we moved down from
Maine in 1946. She had pure white hair. I used to help them
clean school desks in one room school house to earn money for
school. DBS. She took in foster children....lots of them.
Eddie was one.
