He married Eliza Elizabeth Lentz in Mercer, Mercer Co., Mo, 2 Jul 1882.⁽³⁹³⁵⁾ Eliza was born in Bloom Twp., Fairfield Co., OH 20 Dec 1863. Eliza was the daughter of Henry William Lentz and Mary Ann Rinesmith. Eliza died 7 Feb 1920 in Columbus, Ne.

She married Ernest Edward Bonner in Polk Co., NE, 22 Oct 1907. Ernest was born in Osceola, Polk Co., Nebraska 13 Sep 1885. Ernest was the son of James Toy Bonner and Ida May Davison.
