76. Daniel8 Stanton (John7, Capt John6, Thomas5, Thomas4, Thomas3, John2, Thomas1) was born in Preston, New London, CT 8 Jun 1708. Daniel died 1775 in Preston, New London, CT.

He married three times. He married Dinah Stark 1737. Some researchers have noted Dinah's last name as Galusha. William Stanton in his published genealogy of the Stanton family rejected this last name.

Dinah died after 1754. According to William Stanton, "Baldwin says her second name was Stark, but the children of her son Elisha insist that it was Dinah Galusha. A Stark family was living in Preston at this time, and I bvelieve the wife's name was Stark."
