408. Capt. Amasa10 Stanton (John9, Daniel8, John7, Capt John6, Thomas5, Thomas4, Thomas3, John2, Thomas1) was born in Preston, New London, CT 6 Jun 1788.(4265) Amasa died 28 Dec 1843. After a short illness of pneumonia.
He married Dimmis Brown Charlestown, Ny, 1814. Dimmis was born Mar 1795. Dimmis was the daughter of ?? Brown. Dimmis died 13 Sep 1878 Grand Rapids, Michigan. At her son Judson's home, aged 83 years and 6 months.
Her body was interred after Sep 1878 Hornby, Steuben Co., Ny.
He resided Steuben Co., Ny 1815. And cut his own road six miles from Painted Post, taking the first term of horses into the town of Hornby. He there settled upon land a part of which now belongs to the children of his oldest son Nathaniel. Went with his parents to Charlestown, NY about 1790. In Hornby Forks, Steuben Co., NY he was a deacon in the Baptist church and a man of influence in the community.

769 v. Olive Bonham Stanton was born Hornby, Steuben Co., Ny 4 May 1827. Olive died 20 Dec 1881.
770 vi. Judson Wade Stanton was born Hornby, Steuben Co., Ny 17 Jul 1831. Judson died 18 Feb 1886. He resided Hornby, Steuben Co., Ny 1831 - 1870. On his father's homestead farm.
He resided Grand Rapids, Michigan after 1870. He moved there with his family and his mother Dimmis.
771 vii. Robert Bonham Stanton was born Hornby, Steuben Co., Ny 16 Sep 1833.
